“Be Prepared”. That’s the global motto of the Boy Scouts. A statement that implies their readiness to take on every challenge a Scout may face. Usually this involves tying the type of knot that only an ancient Greek king can undo, and not so much with the zombie boobies. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your sexual preferences) for Tye Sheridan and the rest of the folks in Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, that’s exactly what they need to deal with when the whole is overrun in an undead armageddon, leaving just a few high school losers to save the day.
Sheridan has rapidly been making a name for himself recently, first with his breakout role in Mud and then by landing the high-profile gig of playing the young Cyclops in X-Men: Apocalypse (Hey, “Apocalypse”. Clearly the young actor has a thing for them). And this fun looking, blood spattered zombie-comedy certainly looks like it won’t be hurting his rise at all.

Three scouts and lifelong friends join forces with one badass cocktail waitress to become the world’s most unlikely team of heroes. When their peaceful town is ravaged by a zombie invasion, they’ll fight for the badge of a lifetime and put their scouting skills to the test to save mankind from the undead.
Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse was directed/co-written by Christopher Landon (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones) and also stars Cloris Leachman, David Koechner, Logan Miller, Joey Morgan, Sarah Dumont, Halston Sage and Patrick Schwarzenegger. It is scheduled for release on October 30, 2015.
