We are just weeks away from the local release of the next Star Trek film, Star Trek Beyond, which is actually launching in the US this weekend. So you know what that means. Time for a new trailer. I’m not sure its necessary, as I’m pretty sure by now most people have decided whether they are going to watch to or not. And for fans, most often there is not even a choice, especially since this film has been getting some really great buzz.
However, this latest trailer comes with a difference. Writer and star of the film, Simon Pegg is actually requesting for you not to watch it, as it appears it may contain spoilers.
If you are planning to go see Star Trek Beyond, Simon suggests you avoid all TV Spots and trailers from this point forward.

So normally we watch the trailers and provide a short write-up about them, but this time I don’t want to. Needless to say, here it is below and you can go watch it at your own peril – you have been warned.
As for me, I want my film experience to be free from any potential spoilers. Maybe the whole thing is a plot to make you think it’s actually a spoiler when it isn’t, but I wouldn’t want to take any chances. Although the film is releasing this weekend in the States, we will only be getting it in South Africa in early August – so its still a long wait for this one. At least we will have lots of reviews of the film by then to know whether its worth watching.
So, let’s change the subject then – what are you most looking forward to about the new Star Trek Beyond movie?
