It’s been a hopeful week, to say the least. With E3 around the corner, the gaming industry has been throwing Molotov cockteases left and right, and I welcomed them. One such tease was for Deus Ex: The Fall, this week. Fans were eager for a sequel to 2011’s Human Revolution. That’s not what they’re getting.
Deus Ex: The Fall is instead a mobile game that takes place in the same timeframe of Human Revolution, and is a sequel to the novel Icarus Effect, starring mercenary Ben Saxon in the lead role. Betrayed by his employers and looking for answers from the Tyrants, Saxon takes to the streets to get to the heart of the conspiracy that he has found himself in.
Not too much gameplay was seen, but according to executive game director Jean-Francois Dugas, “It was really important for us to make the gameplay as simple as possible.” Expect new augmentations that happens to be tailored to that gameplay then.
Square Enix mentioned a while back that they were looking at expanding onto mobile devices, and while more Deus Ex is hardly a bad thing, I hope that a full fledged, proper sequel will still surface sometime in the near future.

“This isn’t what I asked for” are the only words that come to mind.
If anyone is interested, the reveal video on Youtube is being completely tanked with hate and down votes.

If I wanted to be F***** this hard in the ass by Square Enix, I would’ve bought a Limited edition Final Fantasy Cactus shaped vibrator. F*** you and your mobile games bitches.
