There’s a brouhaha brewing this month between Godzilla and Kong that will decide who the real king of the monsters really is, but that’s not the only Godzilla entertainment on offer this year! Toho and Netflix have released a new trailer for the Godzilla: Singular Point anime series, and so far it continues to look fantastic.

Blending traditional 2D animation with some neat 3D designs for when Earth’s apex predators start tussling, Godzilla’s going to have his radioactive hands full with not only the return of what appears to be his entire rogues gallery, but also a reborn Jet Jaguar mecha that looks more badass than ever. Check it out in the new trailer below.

Oh hell yes. I’m not even questioning why Gintoki from Gintama is in this anime, because that slice of animation showed off plenty of Kaiju heavyweights. Just from a mere glance at the footage, you can see classic monsters such as Hedorah Anguirus, Kumonga, and a few million lil’ Rodans flying about. I think I might have even spotted Biollante, which is a wild fusion of plant and Godzilla DNA that is just wild to look at.

There’s no confirmed release date yet for Godzilla: Singular Point on this side of the globe, but the co-production between My Hero Academia’s studio Bones and Beastar’s studio Orange is coming to Netflix in Japan on March 25. A dubbed version shouldn’t be too far off from that launch point. Also I just cannot stop gushing over just how badass Jet Jaguar looks in this series. A goofy concept when introduced back in the golden age of Godzilla, this new take on the beloved mecha is even sillier and yet a million times cooler.
