Boba Fett (1)

Let’s say that your ultimate fantasy has come true (which may or may not involve dangling Alessandro over a pit of flaming lava): You’ve woken up to find yourself living in the Star Wars universe. A galaxy filled with strange mysticism, a tyrant who wields the power of Eskom and space adventures thata re just waiting for you.

Awesome. Now let’s say that you need to find a role within this universe. Who, or what would you be? Most of you would probably say Jedi. Me? I’d much rather be a bounty hunter. Think about it: Bounty hunters have a license to kill. Bounty hunters get the coolest toys.

Bounty hunters don’t have to worry about violating a Jedi code when they get a little bit lonely, because trying to ease the tension when your left hand has been replaced by a robotic appendage is an idea that will always leave you with a bad feeling.

In other words, Bounty Hunters frickin’ rock in Star Wars. And who’s the coolest bounty hunter around? Boba Fett. I’m not saying that Boba Fett was a badass, but even though his primary role was to stand in the shadows or to be swallowed by a desert orifice, he still managed to be a force to be reckoned with.

And that’s the Boba Fett that I want on my toy shelf. Hot Toys have a sixth-scale replica of the feared Mandalorian on the way. Here’s a look at the bucket-head in all his Wookie-hunting glory:

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
