Better Call Saul better than any other cable launch

All praise show-creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould for delivering again! I have been waiting in antici… pation for the prequel to AMC’s award-winning Breaking Bad, a show that made being bald cool, and apparently it delivered, big time.

Better Call Saul launched this past Sunday and it did so as the highest-rated show for a cable network, eva! The new series pulled in 6.9 million viewers which is a ridiculously high number, even for a show that stems from possibly the greatest series of all time (yes, I absolutely loved Breaking Bad).

The numbers are even more surprising when you consider it was broadcast after the mid-season return of the hugely popular Walking Dead, which drew in more than double the number of viewers at 15.6 million. Often having a big show like this detracts viewers from what comes after. For a show that started off as being a joke between Breaking Bad writers it sounds like it is going to be huge!

The show follows criminal attorney/crook Jimmy McGill (aka Saul Goodman, played by the brilliant Bob Odenkirk) some six years prior to the events of Breaking Bad as he slowly builds up his law office. It also features Breaking Bad hitman Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) which makes me so happy I want to cry!

Here’s a trailer whet your appetite:

Better Call Saul stars  Bob Odenkirk, (Breaking Bad), Rhea Seehorn (Whitney),Patrick Fabian (Bad Ass), Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad) and Michaelo Mando (Orphan Black).

    BWAHAHAHAHAHA I LOVE THIS SHIT.

A bit more comedic than Breaking Bad and I see this dark humor running for another 6 years. AWESOME.

Also, my favorite HITMAN IS BACK BABY.
