Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould have given us arguably one of the best shows ever to grace a TV screen and probably my favourite show of all time in Breaking Bad. So when that show came to an end, no matter how good that end might have been, it came as no surprise when millions of fans went into Heisenberg withdrawals.
So when AMC dropped the news that a spin-off origin series based on fan favourite, Saul Goodman, played wonderfully by the charismatic Bob Odenkirk, we all hung on tight for our fix of Breaking Bad madness. But what started off as nostalgia quickly faded away and was replaced by a sense of admiration for what has turned out to be a masterpiece in its own right.
Fans love the show, whether having been a fan of Breaking Bad previously or not and if you are watching the series you will know why. It has been truly fantastic watching Odenkirk’s transformation of Jimmy McGill’s into Saul Goodman and critics have been raving about the show as well. Before the first season aired, AMC had already ordered a second season and now half way into season two, they have given the green light for the third installment.
So if you are not watching Better Call Saul yet, I suggest you get started ASAP. Also starring Jonathan Banks, Rhea Seehorn, Patrick Fabian, Michael Mando and Michael McKean.
