I was just a wee lad when the first Jurassic Park film came out and hit theaters. And I was still wet behind the ears when the sequel arrived to that great film. And then there was that second sequel, which arrived during my more radical years (VIVA LA REVOLUCION!).
That’s a long legacy for a franchise, and something that the fourth film, Jurassic World is looking to embrace.
One Twitter user was concerned with just where the movie takes place, asking director Colin Trevorrow if he could shed light on that and confirm that Jurassic World would not be a reboot. To which the helmer replied:
@pfcbains916 Reboot is a strong word. This is a new sci-fi terror adventure set 22 years after the horrific events of Jurassic Park.

The strength behind jurassic park was the modern setting being terrorised by the past, and how bad management and greed led to the rise of a species that should not even have survived. That’s kind of silly.
