People assume that the progression of a new TV series is thought to be strictly cause and effect. But actually, from a non-linear and non-subjective viewpoint, it’s more like a big wibbly wobbly ball of badly scheduled repeats and cheaply produced reality shows. Also, it means that Doctor Who won’t be broadcast locally when the new series arrives.
Unlike the seventh season which got a day-after broadcast on channel 120, there’ll be no such timey-wimey adventures when Doctor Who returns this Saturday with Peter Capaldi in the lead. Instead, you’ll be treated to repeats of Come Dine With Me and some other vapid reality show, as BBC Entertainment told us:
There are no immediate plans to air Doctor Who series 8, but we’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, BBC Entertainment has an exciting slate of upcoming programming including brand new series of Strictly Come Dancing and The Graham Norton Show which will premiere on the channel shortly after the UK. We hope comedy fans will also enjoy a brand new show joining BBC Entertainment, Moone Boy, starring Chris O’Dowd.
No BBC Entertainment, I do not want to watch gangly-limbed who’s available celebs dance. I want some damn Doctor Who. While this means no legit method for watching the show, here’s hoping that one becomes available soon. In the meantime, here’s a list of the titles of the entire season that arrives soon:
- Episode 1: Deep Breath
- Episode 2: Into The Dalek
- Episode 3: Robot Of Sherwood
- Episode 4: Listen
- Episode 5: Time Heist
- Episode 6: The Caretaker
- Episode 7: Kill The Moon
- Episode 8: Mummy On The Orient Express
- Episode 9: Flatline
- Episode 10: In The Forest Of The Night
- Episode 11/12 Dark Water/Death In Heaven
