2015 is going to be the year that classic film franchises get a revival. And I’m not just talking about Jurassic World and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Because good grief, that ol’ Blockhead Charlie Brown is also making a comeback. So far, I’ve loved all the animation that I’ve seen so far for the Peanuts movie, which looks effortlessly charming and faithful to the source material. Here’s a brand new trailer, wherein Snoopy and Woodstock once again steal the show.

Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the beloved “Peanuts” gang make their big-screen debut, like they’ve never been seen before, in state of the art 3D animation. Snoopy, the world’s most lovable beagle – and flying ace – embarks upon his greatest mission as he takes to the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis The Red Baron, while his best pal, Charlie Brown, begins his own epic quest.

Besides Snoopy assuming his role as the Flying Ace, plot details have been vague on the film so far. What is known, is that it’ll follow Charlie Brown “on a quest to get something he’s sure he needs, even though he discovers he’s pretty OK just as he is.” As for the tone, director Steve Martino has talked up Charlie Brown’s and his limitless optimism to SlashFilm. “I wake up every day and it’s like, ‘Today’s the day we’re going to win that game! I’m going to kick that football!’” he said.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
