I’m cautiously optimistic for Terminator: Genisys. It may have a stupid title and Jai Courtney in a lead role, but dammit if I can’t help but smile every time I hear Arnie say “I’HLL BE BACH”. That film arrives later this year, and unless you’re willing to get naked and time travel forward in time by a few months, you’re going to have to be patient. But you can pass the time right now, by ogling this new TV spot and poster:
When John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline. Now, Sgt. Reese finds himself in a new and unfamiliar version of the past, where he is faced with unlikely allies, including the Guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger), dangerous new enemies, and an unexpected new mission: To reset the future…
Terminator Genisys also stars Sandrine Holt, J.K. Simmons, Byung-hun Lee, Jason Clarke, Matt Smith, Michael Gladis, Emilia Clarke and Dayo Okeniyi. Alan Taylor directs for a Skynet invasion of July 1.
