Dial up those Justice League rumours, because it looks like the Man of Steel sequel will be bridging Superman into a brave new world. With Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman being confirmed locks for the film, the rumours are now spinning into overdrive that the entire Justice League will be making an appearance.
The next such member who could appear? The Martian Manhunter himself, as portrayed by Jason “Game of Thrones” Momoa. The hulking warlord is now being offered a part in the film as the last son of Mars in Batman vs Superman, a shape-shifting titan from our sister planet with an insatiable lust for Oreo cookies.
Sacha Baron Cohen has now officially bit the dust, with Ben “Skyfall” Whishaw now replacing him in the long in development biopic based on Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.
The film now also has a director, with Dexter “Sunshine on Leith” Fletcher poised to helm a film. Will this film rock you? Only time will tell.
Here’s a brand new risqué poster for Lars Von Trier’s upcoming Nymphomaniac, in which Shia LaBeouf proves himself to be a cunning linguist indeed.
Last year’s Jack Reacher may not have been a runaway smash, but it was a damn good film overall that got some further love on home release. Star Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie are keen to reteam for a sequel once they finish work on Mission Impossible 5, which could see the duo tackle the plot from Never Go Back.
The latest novel in the Jack Reacher series sees the military cop framed for murder and on the run once again, looking for answers. Don’t expect to see that film anytime soon though. Until MI5 is finished and the rest of Cruise’s filming commitments met, that movie will have to wait.
Star Trek 3 may have some new red shirts in the writing department, but one thing that it doesn’t have is a director. JJ Abrams has hopped galaxies for Star Wars, and it looks like Joe “Attack the block” Cornish is no longer in the running to take over directing duties.
Ron Burgundy is a mans man. He’s the kind of man who built the Eiffel Tower with steel and brawn, who can talk to dogs and has two guns which can end any world war. Needless to say, the Anchorman 2 character has shared quite a few news desks over the years.
And his former co-anchors have plenty to say about him.
Good news Durbanites, and hopefully Johannesburg and Cape Town. The next Spider-Man movie will be getting a 3D IMAX release! The film is busy being digitally remastered for the much, much bigger screen, and it’s still on track for a May 2 release next year.
The trailer may be a couple of hours away, but if you can’t wait to see some Kaiju destruction, then here are some official pics of Gareth Edward’s Godzilla. Because nothing is more destructive than Aaron Taylor Johnson on a big budget film.
And to end today off, we’re taking a look at the year that was in movies. A few more blockbusters are still on the way, but the year is basically all wrapped up anyway. Joblo’s Nick Bosworth made an eight minute cut of all the 2013 movies, and the result is absolutely stunning and well worth a watch.
