Justin Lin has assembled quite the cast so far for the upcoming sixth Fast and the furious film, grabbing actors from all over the planet. Vin Diesel returns to the culture of car spectacle, but it looks like the husky-voiced one is going to be meeting his match, as Joe “The Raid” Taslim has just signed on to portray the villain.
The Indonesian actor will star as Jah, a rival to Diesel who happens to use a combination of parkour and kickass to stay ahead of the competition. It’s not clear yet what the actual plot of this film is, besides being a showcase for cars to go really, really fast and look cool, as Lin and Universal Pictures have put a lid on any leaks occurring.
Joining Diesel and Taslim, are Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez and Dwayne Johnson, with newcomers Gina Carano and Luke Evans as well.
Justin Lin is currently shooting the film for a May release next year. Cinemas are also preparing waterproof tarps right now for the amount of squeeing that action film junkies will undergo when Diesel eventually battles a man that is the closest equivalent to a Chuck Norris meme.
