Even if you aren’t a big fan of their music because you have incredibly bad taste in life and you know it, you’ve got to admit that Metallica knows how to put on one hell of a show. They recently performed in Cape Town and Johannesburg, and the fans were happy.
And now, they’re going to be powerchording their way to the biggest of screens for a concert on IMAX.
The Metallica feature will star the band, their fans and Chronicle’s Dane DeHaan in a feature length performance that has been written and directed by Nimrod “Predators” Antal. Antal is attempting to match a story and visuals to the music of the band, in which a crew member played by DeHaan has to face an apocalypse of challenges as he sets out on a mission for the band.
It’s out September 27 in IMAX theaters, which makes me even sadder now. Because we’d sooner vote the DA into power than bring back IMAX in this country. Metallica Through The Never will roll out to smaller screens later in October, so keep an eye out for it.
