Though he had a great solid run culminating in the Oscar winning Training Day and superb 2012 standout End of Watch, writer/director David Ayer had real misstep with his last outing, Sabotage. Did I say “misstep”? I meant drunkenly falling face first into cow dung.

But Ayer appears to be back in winning form with Fury, a WWII tank movie that sees Brad Pitt leading a motley crew of men and Shia LaBeouf’s moustache in the type of blood and bullets battles that gets the blood pumping and the flags waving. Check out the film’s fantastic first trailer below.

April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

Fury also stars Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena, Jon Bernthal and Jason Isaacs, and will be rolling into cinemas on November 14, 2014.

You want to watch a great WW2 movie : watch Band of brothers. That is all.
I am quite curious to see the soldiers in tank point of view..rare insight but to watch Brad Pitt playing the all american ‘hero’..no thanks..The most charismatic on this trailer are Jon Bernthal and yep..Shia Labeouf..sadly it seems to be all about Brad Pitt ‘wardaddy’..what a stupid nickname..ugh and little Logan Lerman..meh.

I’ve been very confused by the marketing of this movie as well, as everything I’ve read so far says that this is a proper ensemble flick, yet if you’re not named Brad Pitt you’re nowhere to be found in the promo campaigns.

It’s understandable that he and Ayer are the film’s biggest stars and that LaBeouf is a tad toxic to audiences at the moment, but Michael Pena, Jon Bernthal and Logan Lerman have steadily built up a very sizable fan base with their always solid performances, and their names aren’t even mentioned on the film’s poster!
