Here at Lazygamer, we have numerous ideas. Most of them are astonishingly bad, but they’re ideas nonetheless. Take my idea for a new game for instance. Imagine your run of the mill action RPG. But it would be free to play. The catch? You’d have to pay to do any attack whatsoever, with your stats linked and influenced by your bank account. My word, I am evil.

I’ve just noticed that the date is wrong on this ION. As it was on yesterdays ION. Probably before that, but I can’t be arsed to check.
Almost a month in and the fact that it’s 2014 hasn’t registered with Darryn yet. I know PE is a bit backwards but come on …

Couple things ya’ll missed while asleep ->
Desperation or genius? Microsoft offering $100 off the One when you trade-in your PS3.
http://content.microsoftstore.com/en-us/offers/lenoxsquare?WT.mc_id=PromoEmail_XboxTradeIn_BM_1-30-14_Hero_FullEmail#offer-trade-console
I’m going with desperation, since a PS3 is still worth more than $100, but, for those who really want a 1, this could help them afford it.
Another bit of information and something that raised an interesting thought in my head. Polygon’s Phillip Kollar recently released a review for the Definitive Edition of Tomb Raider. Giving both equal review scores (9), which raises the question, what happened to reviewers giving lower ratings for multi-platform titles that perform differently on hardware? Now, as some of you may know (like me), Polygon is a mouthpiece for Microsoft, as Microsoft bankrolled their site when they were struggling financially.
But, I think they’ve unwittingly helped us determine which sites can and cannot be trusted. In the early days of the PS3/360 era, we all know that it was harder for developers to wrap their brains around the PS3’s architecture, and rightfully, game review scores reflected the performance discrepancy. In a time when it’s hard to trust any reviewer beyond watching the video review on mute, I think this really gives us gamer’s a great way to identify which sites to simply ignore from now on. If companies desire to sell their integrity to the highest bidder, so be it. Doesn’t mean we have to support them in any way shape or form. So, I suggest keeping an eye on review scores for the PS4/One multi-platform games, and start whittling away at the reviewers who are behaving in a manner atypical to how things were last gen.
Just my two cents.
