Last week, thanks to some set pics, we got our first look at a very blue and veiny Electro aka Jamie Foxx in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It was quite the (pleasantly) surprising transformation of the Oscar nominated actor. Even more surprising though, was yesterday’s reveal of Max Dillion, Electro’s non-supervillain civilian identity, which took the transformation into the totally opposite, totally nerdy direction.

And now thanks to a whole lot of new set pics from SuperheroHype, we get a proper look at his character, as well as the rest of the cast for the superhero sequel.

So here’s what we’ve learned from those pics: Mary Jane (Shailene Woodley) really knows how to sulk and now rides a motorcycle, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) is still cute as a button, Harry Osborne (Dane DeHaan) likes coffee, Jamie Foxx is clearly a fan of the Revenge of the Nerds movies and Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) may be a scientific genius, but he sure as hell can’t fix a car.

Along with those set pics, a new video has also been released by SuperheroHype showing off the set for Ravencroft Prison, a special penitentiary in Marvel Comics used to house supervillains. While there’s been absolutely zero mention of Paul Giamatti as the Rhino ever since that story initially broke, this could be where he gets introduced into the film.

In “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be swinging into cinemas on May 2, 2014.
