The latest trailer for A CURE FOR WELLNESS invites you to take a nice relaxing bath

A Cure for Wellness is the upcoming mystery thriller from The Ring director Gore Verbinski that stars Dane DeHaan as a young executive having a spa day. I’ve had a spa day, it’s nice – I’m sure he’ll enjoy his trip too because what could go wrong?

A hell of a lot if you watched the impressive first trailer, and now a brief international trailer as been released – so let’s take a look:

The official plot synopsis is as follows:

An ambitious young executive [Dane DeHaan] is sent to retrieve his company’s CEO from an idyllic but mysterious “wellness center” at a remote location in the Swiss Alps. He soon suspects that the spa’s miraculous treatments are not what they seem.

When he begins to unravel its terrifying secrets, his sanity is tested, as he finds himself diagnosed with the same curious illness that keeps all the guests here longing for the cure.

A minute after starting to watch this trailer, albeit more of a teaser trailer really, I didn’t need my coffee any more, what I needed was a pair of running shoes and a hill to run towards because I was thoroughly creeped out. This movie looks a real treat for horror / psychological thriller fans – which I am not. My skin is still crawling.

What do you think?

A Cure for Wellness is due for release on 17 February 2017. Directed by Gore Verbinski, and written by Justin Haythe, it stars Dane DeHaan, Jason Isaacs, Mia Goth and Celia Imrie.

  1. Mia Goth. That sounds like a made up name for a fetish porn star.
