Meet the Wachowski's SENSE8 in these 8 new character trailers

2 min read

I’m a huge fan of the Wachowski’s work, have been ever since The Matrix. Yes, I even own Speed Racer and Cloud Atlas on Blu Ray and not in an ironic way. But even with more than a decade and a half’s worth of fanboyism behind me, I still thought that Jupiter Ascending stunk like a skunk dipped in raw sewerage. Sure it looked amazing, but no matter how many sparkly bows you tie on a turd, it’s still a turd.

So I’m really hoping that the filmmaking duo can get back to winning ways with Sense8, a new high-profile sci-fi drama series that the Wachowski’s, along with Babylon 5 creator and acclaimed comic book scribe J. Michael Straczynski, will be debuting on Netflix this coming Friday.

We’ve already seen the first trailer setting up the premise of the show – 8 strangers around the world suddenly find themselves mentally linked to each other, able to draw on each other’s skills – but now a series of new trailers introduce those 8 characters individually, as well as give us a look at the show’s international settings. Check them out below.

Sense8 stars Brian J. Smith, Tuppence Middleton, Jamie Clayton, Miguel Angel Silvestre, Tina Desai, Doona Bae, Aml Ameen, Daryl Hannah, Naveen Andrews, Terrence Mann, Freema Agyeman, Alfonso Herrera , Erendira Ibarra, Adam Shapiro, Ness Bautista and Joe Pantoliano. All 12-episodes of its first season debuts Netflix this coming Friday, 5 June 2015.
