Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange is releasing a little over 3 weeks away now and it’s not like it needed another trailer to convince us all to watch it anyway. Everything that has been revealed about the film is already showing us that not only does the film look epic, but will be something fresh and unique, yet still fit perfect into the rest of the MCU. And although we don’t need any more convincing, it seems Marvel and Disney want to continue dangling more carrots in front of us with the release of a new International trailer.

And by international trailer, they essentially mean it has Chinese subtitles. However, they haven’t been lazy and just stuck subtitles on the previous trailer, but have gone out of their way to actually show us something different this time.

And you know what. All this does is make me even more excited to watch it than before. Stop messing with us and just release the movie already. The trailer does show a few new bits of footage involving Tilda Swinton and Chiwetel Ejiofor, but also some more of the word bending action we can expect from Benedict Cucumber Sandwich Cumberbatch. The action in particular looks like it’s going to be quite mind-blowing and screams to be viewed in 3D in an iMAX theatre. Though, I will probably still watch it in standard 2D because who has the money for those things these days.

With so many trailers for the film already released, one does get worried that they have shown all the best bits to us already. Though if we learnt anything from Captain America: Civil War, it’s that Marvel is likely always keeping many things for the movie itself, so I’m sure there is a lot of surprise still in store for fans.

He quickly learns that this is not just a center for healing but also the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying our reality. Before long Strange—armed with newly acquired magical powers—is forced to choose whether to return to his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence. A man of many talents, but no sense how to use them. I could be discovering the cure for aids or finding ways to achieve world peace, but I'd rather be watching movies and writing here instead.
