Before I even say anything about this first trailer for The Prince aka Talented Actors Need Paychecks Too, I would like to draw your attention to the film’s poster and its crimes. The transgression that immediately jumps to the fore is that level of photoshoppery on it, is just TOO DAMN HIGH! Everybody looks like their wax-museum counterparts, only not as life like. Secondly, would it really have been too much effort to have John Cusack and Jason Patric’s names actually be listed under the correct respective actor? The fact that nobody thought that this was important enough just smacks of laziness and cheapness.

And those two traits seem to carry through to the movie as a whole, because besides boasting Bruce Willis, Patric and Cusack in the film’s leads, this thing looks like a bargain bin ripoff of [INSERT POPULAR ACTION MOVIE OF CHOICE HERE].

Jason Patric, Bruce Willis and John Cusack face off in this action-packed thriller. A retired assassin is drawn back into the life he gave up when his daughter is kidnapped. To rescue her, he must confront his former rival.

The Prince is directed by Brian A. Miller (House of the Rising Sun, Officer Down) and also stars Jung Ji-Hoon a.k.a Rain, Jessica Lowndes, Johnathon Schaech, Gia Mantegna and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. The film is scheduled for limited theatrical and VOD release on August 22, 2014.

They’re looking at the designer and thinking “What the hell are you doing to us?”

            LOL!

            Poster design agency briefing:
Okay we’ll shoot the stars individually on a white background, each making their best “derpie derp” face. Then we’ll etch them out and dump them on a background featuring a burning city.

We’ll round it off by apply a yellow filter onto them except Cage. We don’t need to worry about shadows or any environmental effects, not even a glow from the fire onto their hair.

That look of pure “WTF am I even doing in this movie?” on Cage’s face gets me every time.

I’m guessing Jason Patric, I mean John Cusack, is the bad guy because he has bad guy hair.

Also, they’re all looking in the same direction & have 6 letter surnames.

Weird thing is, if you check out the trailer, Jason Patric is the good guy and Bruce Willis is the bad guy.

John Cusack is making some really bizarre choice lately. Basically, it’s that he’s just in it for the money at this point. I’m not criticising him or anything. It’s just a sign of how little quality there is to offer quality actors in Hollywood right now.

It’s kinda sad. That he was last a real name in the 90s shows you how much has changed, just lending further credence to my belief that the 90s was the last great period for mainstream cinema aimed at adults

I just noticed the blurry colour job happening on small Jason Patric up front. WTF? Did they tie-dye this poster?

Shitty poster and the movie only looks marginally better. Jason Patric was amazing in Rush and Narc but he doesn’t seem to get any decent roles.
