Who wouldn’t want to work towards being a better version of themselves? Except for Darryn who seem content on rubbing his poor taste on everyone and taking us all down with him. For many of us though, there are things that we would want to change about ourselves and for Paul Rudd in this new Netflix series Living With Yourself, that thing that he wants to change is his whole self.
It appears Paul Rudd and Netflix have quite a partnership on the go as Rudd has starred In The Fundamentals of Caring, two varieties of Wet Hot American Summers, Mute and will now star (and co-star) in this new series that comes from the mind of Timothy Greenberg with all eight episodes directed by Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton.
The show certainly looks like a lot of fun as it blends aspect of classic movies like Duplicity with some darker twists along the way. Still, if you’re a fan of Paul Rudd especially, you’re going to likely love this as he gets double the screen time which often means double the fun.
This does look like a series that could start out being a lot of fun and potentially run out of gas as the concept becomes a little stale, but with a strong writer behind the project, a talented group of directors and Rudd himself, I believe it has the potential to rise above this challenge and be a series that could potentially entertain more than you’d expect.
Let’s hope so when Living With Yourself releases on Netflix on October 18th.
