Even if you’ve never watched it, chances are good that you’ve at least heard of Casablanca. One of the most well-respected films in the history of cinema, the classic Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Berman black and white silver screen masterpiece celebrates its 70th anniversary this year, and what better way to do it than to rewatch a remastered Blu-Ray DVD of the landmark movie?March 27th is when Casablanca unveils an overloaded disc of extras, courtesy of Warner Bros. According to the Studio, fans will get a three-disc set, reproduced in the style of the original 1942 french poster, a 60 page production art book and a collectible drink coaster set, so that you can rest your whiskey on the rocks on Mr Bogarts face whenever company rolls around.
Two new documentaries, Casablanca: An Unlikely Classic and Michael Curtiz: The Greatest Director You Never Heard Of, are included, alongside all the numerous extras and videos from the 2008 regular DVD of Casablanca: Ultimate Edition.
All together, fans are looking at over 14 hours of material for this box-set. This looks like the beginning of a beautiful Blu-Ray collection, that’s for sure.
