Good ol’ time travel! Going the temporal route in a movie never gets old, as it allows for a film to be both tense and intelligent. We saw that a while ago with Looper, which may have reignited some time travel themes in the industry, with several movies following in its wake that took advantage of wibbly wobbly themes. Add Predestination to that list, as Ethan Hawke hunts a killer across time and space.
PREDESTINATION chronicles the life of a Temporal Agent (Ethan Hawke) sent on an intricate series of time-travel journeys designed to ensure the continuation of his law enforcement career for all eternity. Now, on his final assignment, the Agent must pursue the one criminal that has eluded him throughout time.
Predestination has no US release date set yet, but it’ll open in Australia on August 28. It also stars Sarah Snook, Noah Taylor, Madeleine West and Christopher Kirby.
