Rumour – TRON 3 to start filming this October

I’ve got way too much love for the Tron franchise. While the story may be a bonkers version of video game Innerspace, I still regard the films and animated prequel series as phenomenally important in terms of their visual design. Director Joseph Kosinksi and his design team raised the bar for [email protected] Legacy back in 2010. And it looks like a new sequel set in that universe is finally on the horizon.

According to reports from Badass Digest and VanCity Buzz filming for the third movie, Tron: Legacy will kick off in October, with Garrett Hedlund returning as Sam Flynn and Jospeh Kosinski directing again. Take it with a pinch of salt, but I’m hoping that this is all true. Reports of a third Tron movie being in production since 2012 have been circulating for a while now, with Lost screenwriters Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis apparently penning the story.

More imporantly however, there’s no word yet on whether or not Daft Punk will return to put together a new score for the rumoured third film, although composer Giorgio Moroder does happen to be working with Skrillex on a soundtrack for an upcoming Tron game.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
