As far as movie concepts go, Neill Blomkamp’s next flick sounds like the Short Circuit reboot we’ve all been waiting for, but mercifully isn’t linked. While I doubt Chappie will have a “JOHNNY FIVE IS ALIVE” scene, the film still sounds interesting. And it just added another big name to it’s cast, as former Xenomorph buster Sigourney Weaver is signing up to visit Jozi.

According to Variety, Weaver has signed up for Chappie, but her exact role in the flick hasn’t been revealed yet. Chappie so far has a good looking cast. Frequent Blomkamp collaborater Sharlto Copley will be voicing the real star of the movie, a robot that develops sentience and gets stolen by gangsters, who’ll be portrayed by Die Antwoord Zeffers Ninja and Yolande Visser. Hugh Jackman and Dev Patel are also on board, for a film that will supposedly have a “dysfunctional family” setup.

Weird. The movie is out in March, 2015.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
