I’ve got a love/hate relationship when it comes to Brett Ratner movies. Sometimes, he makes absolutely terrible 90 minute wastes of life (Rush Hour 3), other times he makes damn good films (After the sunset, Red Dragon) and the most of the time he makes films which are ok at best (X-Men 3, Rush Hour not 3). I’ve got no idea which category Hercules will ultimately fall into, but it’s looking like a category 3 movie so far. Still, that may not be a bad thing, if it can at least deliver on the action side of the screenplay.
Paramount Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures’ film HERCULES, starring Dwayne Johnson, bows on July 25th. Based on Radical Comics’ Hercules by Steve Moore, this ensemble-action film is a revisionist take on the classic myth, HERCULES. The epic action film also stars Golden Globe Winner Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, Peter Mullan and Academy Award®-nominee John Hurt.
Hercules is out on July 25th, and stars Dwayne Johnson’s other muscles as well.

Well that is surprising, actually looks like it could be something.
