THE LEGEND OF KORRA is returning earlier than expected.. This Friday in fact!

Time flies when you’re waiting for a release date to be announced. Then they announce a date, and it turns out you wait a few months to have another date announced for another announcement. Confused yet? That’s what fans of The Legend of Korra have been feeling for the last year as the release date for Season Two was announced, then not announced, un-announced and finally confirmed. As it turns out, that date is just around the corner.

It was originally confirmed at San Diego Comic Con that The Legend of Korra: Book Two would be airing in September this year, and it’s finally been confirmed that it will premiere on Friday, 13 September 2013 (yes, this Friday!) Along with all characters from the previous series, we’ll be seeing new faces like Korra’s uncle Unaloq and cousins Dezna and Eska, Tenzin’s siblings Kya and Bumi and the very first avatar, Wan.

Even though the ending of Book One felt very rushed to me, I’m overly excited for the return of this show. With the overwhelmingly positive feedback from critics and massive demand from fans seeing the show extended for another three series, the writing team of Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko will hopefully have more time to flesh out their universe and story arcs, potentially taking The Legend of Korra to greater heights than The Last Airbender.

If you haven’t seen the trailer for Book Two yet and needed any more reason to geek out, then check it out below.
