After the brilliant How to Train Your Dragon 2, DreamWorks Animation is set to infiltrate the cinemas this summer with four flightless, but by no means grounded, penguins. Yes, those crazy scheming agents from the Madagascar movies and animated TV series will feature in their own spin-off film later this year. Of course Skipper, Rico, Kowalski, and Private’s first trailer was featured at this year’s Comic Con, but now the second, and more story involved trailer, has been released and it looks a whole lot of fun.
Set as an origin story, the movie follows our flightless birds and their rise to the resourceful agents we all know (well, all but Private, sorry Private!) This time we won’t have lions, giraffes or zebras though, instead the movie features a group of ice-dwelling Arctic companions that aid our heroes in order to stop Dr. Octavius Brine (John Malkovich) from ruling the world! Mwahahahah. Cough. One thing I have always liked about the penguins is their ability to entertain not only the younger generation but adults too and judging by the trailer, I think we will see more of that.
The movie features some amazing voice work from Tom McGrath (Skipper), John DiMaggio (Rico), Chris Miller (Kowalski), Christopher Knights (Private ), John Malkovich (Dr. Octavius Brine), Benedict Cumberbatch (Agent Classified), Ken Jeong (Short Fuse), Annett Mahendru (Eva) and Peter Stormare (Corporal).
The movie will launch November 26th.

I know the scene has been done a million times, where you do something to interrupt someone speaking, but the one with the cheese pops, BRILLIANT!
