There's a TREMORS TV series reboot in the works starring Kevin Bacon

The 1990 cult classic movie Tremors is getting a TV series reboot and best of all, original star Kevin Bacon is back to reprise his role of Valentine McKee, as well as taking on executive producing duties.

Now the original movie didn’t do that great at the box office but went on to enjoy massive success on video and TV. It wasn’t always a good experience for Bacon though, as he initially felt doing the movie was a career low, saying the following about the experience at the time.

I broke down and fell to the sidewalk, screaming to my pregnant wife, ‘I can’t believe I’m doing a movie about underground worms!

25 years later Bacon has had a chance to see things differently and maybe not taking himself so seriously anymore has decided to finally make a return to the popular movie once again. Having previously turned down offers to appear in the sequels that followed the original Sci-Fi movie.

This is what he had to say recently about the reboot.

I’d love to do something else with Tremors and revisit the character 25 years later

Part of what’s great about that movie is there are next to no digital effects. The monsters are done with puppetry, and it’s still off, funny and scary — it’s a cool accomplishment.

Now in case you are not too familiar with Tremors, It’s a movie that featured giant man-eating worms that laid siege to a desert town. Universal Cable Productions and Blumhouse Productions are shopping the project around to various networks and apparently “multiple bidders” are interested, with Andrew Miller (The Secret Circle) signed up to write the adaptation.

Are you a fan of the original movie and any of the follow-up creations thereof? What do you think about the reboot? Id love to hear your thoughts in the comment section below.
