We may be a few months away from seeing either Thor or Captain America return to the big screen, and a couple of years away from that Avengers sequel, but in the interim we can expect to see television pick up the cinematic slack. The Agents of Shield series debuts in two months, and is customary in those parts, the PR machine is kicking things into overdrive.

Clark Gregg returns as SHIELD agent Phil Son of Coal. And it looks like he’s bringing another familiar face with him for that debut episode.

I’m looking forward to seeing how this show ties into the main Marvel movies, with a lesser budget to boot. Should be interesting, but seeing how Agent Coulson is still alive and kicking, I’ve got no complaints so far. Agents of SHIELD stars Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge.

Am I the only one that’s getting tired of Marvel and The Avengers? Time for some more DC movies and a Justice League flick…

Yep agreed, and there is a green light on 3 more “spidey” movies. Which sucks. I like the ensemble idea, so JL would be awesome – provided they get some decent actors

Tired of Marvel shouldn’t mean, enter DC. Both are played out these days. How about Image comics getting some attention instead…

Some of the characters seem a bit cliched, but then I was pleasantly surprised by Arrow, so I’m hopeful.

I’m reading a lot of negativity in these comments. Let’s think back, people – besides the abysmal Spiderman movies, the Marvel cinematic universe has done us a great justice (pun intended) – we are getting great quality comic book films, and now even a series that has the stamp of approval of Kevin Feige, with Joss Whedon leading the charge … and you guys are wishing for more Justice League? Not thanks, I’ll stick my money where the quality (and the brains) are. I can’t wait for this…most likely more than the next few movies. We are spoilt for choice – don’t take it for granted. *drops mic dramatically*
