Matthew McConaughey and his True Detective friends may have been mostly shut out in yesterday’s Emmy Awards, but that certainly doesn’t imply that the McConnaissance is over. No siree. In fact, McConaughey is soon about to take off for real. Into outer space.

Chris Nolan’s Interstellar may have been wrapped up for the longest time in the type of secrecy that would make national intelligence agencies jealous, but as we get closer and closer to the film’s release date, we’re seeing more of it revealed. And we’re absolutely loving what we’re seeing.

The latest glimpse into this fantastical voyage to bizarre alien worlds (seriously, did they crash land on the Tetris planet here?) comes courtesy of this new IMAX TV spot. Much like he did in his Dark Knight Trilogy, Nolan has shot several of the film’s scenes in the super-sized format, and gawking at all that mesmerizing otherworldliness on just my tiny laptop screen here, I find myself getting upset all over again that we don’t have any IMAX screens down here in Cape Town yet. Seriously, Ster Kinekor, who do I have to threaten with naked pics of Nick to make this happen?

And before that horrifying, mentally scarring image gets stuck in your heads, you better click play on this great new trailer.

Interstellar chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

Interstellar also stars Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Ellen Burstyn, John Lithgow, Michael Caine, Casey Affleck, Wes Bentley, Bill Irwin, Mackenzie Foy, Topher Grace and David Gyasi. It will be taking flight on November 7, 2014.
