As someone who has walked down Hollywood boulevard, I can honestly tell you that Tinsel Town is pretty damn weird place. That, and there are around 10 Celebrity home tour buses per tourist on that strip of road. That’s where David Cronenberg comes in, as his latest film looks at the stars of Hollywood. And they’re plenty disturbing.

Led by the loathsome yet funny and touching child-star Benjie, we witness the convoluted world of shallow, selfish celebrities and their minions, all of whom are about to be manipulated and destroyed by the young woman who literally represents the fruit of their twisted machinations, Agatha, Benjie’s tormented, apparently psychotic sister. As much as it is a sharp, comic look at a vacant and corrupt world, MAPS TO THE STARS is also a haunting ghost story.

Creepy stuff from Cronenberg, as usual. Maps To The Stars has no release date yet, but expect that to all change after the Cannes Film Festival. The movie stars Mia Wasikoska and Julianne Moore.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
