Video review: True Memoirs of an International Assassin

True Memoirs of an International Assassin

Netflix has been hitting sixes for the last few years, with some superb exclusive content. However, they also have a six-movie-deal with Adam Sandler, a man so talented that when SONY was hacked by North Korea, executive emails exposed just how much the suits hate love the guy… Well we thought we’d do a video review of  True Memoirs of an International Assassin as we didn’t want to waste time writing about so see whether they had finally lucked out. Why a video review? Well with a movie like this you probably need to numb the pain with beer/brandy so, well, we did.

Now Kevin James is one who definitely balances over the precipice of ‘Sandler Gorge’, tempting fate with his career with gems like Mall Cop and Pixels. So what about True Memoirs of an International Assassin? Was it good? Was it bad? Well I managed to convince our very own Trevor Davies over to my cave to watch the film using candy and bread crumbs. Lurking in the background of said cave was Legend OvG, a man so full of bile that hell itself spat him back out. This is what we had to say…

Please note that there is some swearing, so Kervyn Guidance (KG) is recommended.

*Just to make the note that not once was Kevin James’ weight laughed at in the movie, which is why OvG had to go ruin that…

This is the first of what we hope to be a new feature so bare with us as we find our teeth and subscribe!

I have been an avid fan of movies ever since I discovered Santa Clause wasn't real, a day marked in my memory by my first viewing of It's a Wonderful Life, which wasn't so wonderful that day. Since then I've watched thousands of movies and even fooled my parents into putting me through uni to get a degree in the subject. I first started writing as a journalist for The South African Newspaper before moving onto communications for an NGO trying to save the planet. Unfortunately my recommendations to the CEO that we should all don rings imbued with the powers of earth, fire, wind, water and HEART went unheard. Now I pretend the end isn't nigh by hiding in movies.
