Guys and ladies, I warn you, what you are about to see may blow your mind in a bad way. Kevin “Mall Cop” Blart, shirtless, and jiggling with ferocious intensity as his massive frame absorbs repeated blows from MMA fighters.
Don’t say that I didn’t warn you, when she start buffering the trailer for Here comes the boom…
In the comedy “Here Comes the Boom,” former collegiate wrester Scott Voss (Kevin James) is a 42-year-old apathetic biology teacher in a failing high school. When cutbacks threaten to cancel the music program and lay off its teacher (Henry Winkler,) Scott begins to raise money by moonlighting as a mixed martial arts fighter.
Everyone thinks Scott is crazy – most of all the school nurse, Bella (Salma Hayek) – but in his quest, Scott gains something he never expected as he becomes a sensation that rallies the entire school.
Even though the only way to get people inside the theater for previous Kevin James films would be to offer them favours of a dubious nature, I’ll be honest here, and admit that I’d like to go watch this.
Grown Ups was an example of comedy being done right, and the man does seem to be putting some extra effort into the role at least, so I’ll give him points for that.
Plus, seeing James get the snot kicked out of him in a predictable film such as this is pure comedy gold. I’ve already got an idea to cast several has-been comedians in another MMA film, that is just three hours of them being assaulted in every possible manner available.
Here comes the boom! is out later this year.
