During this year’s Comic-Con, we saw a bunch of awesome shows and movies debut. There was one particular show I had been stoked to see though: Incorporated. It was a brand new science-fiction series from SyFy – who had lately been completely living up to their promise of making great sci-fi shows again – which was actually being produced by none other than the pairing of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon! And we got to see none of it.
No the show didn’t get pulled off the schedule or anything, but rather SyFy decided to be backward-thinking geographical tyrants and geo-locked the trailer so that only folks in the US could watch it. The curs! Luckily, they appear to have come to their senses with the series’ second trailer which dropped over this weekend past. And you can check it out below!
In a future where companies have seemingly unlimited power Ben Larson, a young executive, risks everything to infiltrate the all-controlling corporate world and save the woman he loves. In the process, he will take on the entire system — with deadly consequences.
Damon’s influence can actually be felt the strongest here, as Incorporated definitely has an Elysium-like setup here. Hopefully, it’s a bit less heavy handed in it’s politics than that film. Either way, much like the new breed of SyFy series, there’s a massive amount of technical polish on display here. Consider me intrigued.
Incorporated was created and is written by Alex and David Pastor (Self/Less, The Last Days, Carries) and stars Sean Teale, Allison Miller, Eddie Ramos, Julia Ormond, Dennis Haysbert, David Hewlett and Ian Tracey. It is scheduled to premiere on 30 November.
