Kristen Stewart has taken on some interesting projects since her role in the Twilight movies. I’ve actually found her new career direct refreshing and actually enjoyed a few of those movies. Now Stewart is teaming up with director Olivier Assayas for Personal Shopper. The two have collaborated previously on Olivier’s Clouds of Sils Maria, which has received plenty of praise. Taking the momentum from their previous project, Personal Shopper premiered at the Cannes festival and is now set for limited theater release.
Now I haven’t heard much about this movie and there isn’t too much given away in this trailer either, which I like. Who knows, this might turn out to be a well-kept secret, you can decide for yourself though. You can watch the trailer for Personal Shopper below.
So basically it seems that Stewart’s character decides to follow through on a promise made to her dead brother to reach out to each other after one of them passes and well, scary stuff happens. I really like the fact their isn’t too much given away in the trailer and I think the movie looks promising. If you are more of fan of the more subtle supernatural movies then it seems like this one is for you.
Personal Shopper releases to limited theaters on March 10, 2017.
