WWE Monday Night RAW took place from the O2 Arena in London, England. Here’s all the action that went down ahead of this Sunday’s Money In The Bank event.
Roman Reigns and The Miz def. Bobby Lashley and Elias via Disqualification
Wild card! For the second week in a row, Roman Reigns was on RAW and ready to throw down. This week saw the big dog take a more measured approach, drawing out The Miz’s more intense side when he was quizzed by the A-Lister on Miz TV, which was of course crashed by the appearance of Shane McMahon and his enforcers Bobby Lashley and Elias.
From ambush to opening match, the bout ended with Shane interfering, the DQ bell being rung and the unlikely duo of Reigns and Miz getting a post-match beatdown that they endured and used to chase off the competition.
Mojo Rawley def. Apollo Crews
Charlotte Flair and Lacey Evans attacked Becky Lynch during their double contract signing
The only problem with being a double champion? The fact that you’re likely going to have double the contenders after your belts. Something that Becky Two Belts Lynch found out during her contract signing to defend her titles against Lacey Evans and Charlotte Flair.
Baron Corbin def. Ricochet
Nikki Cross def. Natalya, Naomi and Dana Brooke (Fatal 4-Way)
Rey Mysterio def. Cesaro
Bray Wyatt revealed his secret on “Firefly Fun House”
Well, I’m going to have nightmares for days now.
Sami Zayn def. Braun Strowman to take Strowman’s place in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match (Falls Count Anywhere Match)
Main event time! After Sami Zayn got taken out with the trash last week by Braun Strowman, the mouth-runner found himself in hot water when he was thrown into an official match against the gift of destruction, by none other than Shane McMahon. Knowing full well that he was properly outgunned, Zayn attempted to keep his distance from the giant even in a match where Strowman’s spot in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match was on the line.
With the arrival of Baron Corbin and Seth McIntyre, the odds finally tilted in Zayn’s favour, with the three men taking down the monster amongst men and handing Zayn a golden ticket.
