WWE Monday Night RAW took place from the Times Union Center in Albany, New York. Here’s all the action that went down the night after WWE Money In The Bank.
Universal Champion Seth Rollins and WWE Champion Kofi Kingston confronted Brock Lesnar
The beast incarnate isn’t just back in the WWE, he’s also Mr Money In The Bank. With Brock Lesnar now holding a golden ticket to challenge for any WWE title that catches his eye, current champs Seth Rollins and Kofi Kingston are more than aware of the fact that their days could be numbered. A sobering reminder that came from Paul Heyman and Lesnar, the appearance of the reigning WWE champions to provoke the beast into a match was all for naught as the beast reminded his potential prey that they’d be playing by his rules from now on.
Braun Strowman def. Sami Zayn
The Lucha House Party attacked Lars Sullivan
Cesaro def. Ricochet
Roman Reigns and Shane McMahon agreed to face each other at WWE Super ShowDown
Shane McMahon’s rivalry with The Miz is pretty much over. The same could be said for Roman Reigns after he wiped the floor with Elias, a precursor to the pain that he wishes to inflict on Shane after he sicced the mad minstrel on the big dog. Will the two finally clash? Hell yeah they will! With one catch: Shane O’Mac wants to settle the score at WWE Super Showdown in two weeks, on a grand stage befitting is claim to be the best in the world.
The Revival def. The Usos
Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross def. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The IIconics and Lacey Evans
Mick Foley introduced the new 24/7 Championship; Titus O’Neil won the inaugural championship and Robert Roode pinned him to win the title
There’s a new championship on RAW, which already saw it change hands twice in one night. An echo of the classic hardcore championship, the new 24/7 title is pure madness: As long as a wrestler has a referee to make a win official, then whoever is holding the 24/7 championship can be challenged anywhere and at any time.
That means that the title-holder will find themselves facing a constant challenge, as the belt will be open to anyone. Whether it be NXT, NXT UK, Smackdown LIVE or even 205 Live, all bets are off. The opening melee to claim the 24/7 championship saw Titus O’Neil emerge victorious last night, but his reign lasted mere minutes as Robert Roode ambushed him at the top of the entrance ramp and pinned him.
Getting the heck out of dodge, Robert Roode now holds the 24/7 belt. But for how long?
R-Truth def. Robert Roode to become the new 24/7 Champion
Not long at all, yo.
Drew McIntyre def. The Miz
Universal Champion Seth Rollins and WWE Champion Kofi Kingston def. Bobby Lashley and Baron Corbin (No Disqualification); Brock Lesnar confronted the champions
The match may have ended with the WWE champions victorious, but the night itself ended with Brock Lesnar stalking his prey and reminding Seth Rollins and Kofi Kingston that so long as he held the Money In The Bank contract, they’d always be in his crosshairs.
