WWE Smackdown LIVE took place from the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska. Here’s all the action that went down last night.
Elias and Shane McMahon brutally assaulted Roman Reigns
New yard, same big dog. After Roman Reigns made a splash on Smackdown LIVE by landing a Superman Punch on none other than Vince McMahon, the prodigal son Shane wanted some retribution as he demanded that Reigns show up. While Shane had plenty of ideas for how to punish Reigns, it was Elias who kicked off a beatdown that left the former champion beaten down by a numbers game.
Finn Bálor def. Andrade
Looking for a rematch to prove that he was still worthy of holding the Intercontinental championship, Finn Balor took on Andrade once again and put on a show for the ages. One Coup de Grace later, and the Irishman was ready to apply a three-count to his foe.
Kairi Sane def. Peyton Royce
Lars Sullivan once again demolished several Superstars
Chad Gable, Jinder Mahal, Sunil Singh, R-Truth…Absolutely nobody could stop Lars Sullivan as he embarked on another rampage, carving out a path of devastation.
Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair came face to face for the first time since WrestleMania
Here’s the dealio, yo: Charlotte Flair reckons that Becky will never be the true champ until she pins the Queen. Becky has done just that in the past, is bored and wants a new challenge. Bayley wants to be that challenger, and take Becky on after she presumably comes out on top against Lacey Evans at Money In The Bank. Fighting words, that set up the next bout right then and there.
Charlotte Flair def. Bayley to earn a SmackDown Women’s Championship opportunity
Kofi Kingston def. Shinsuke Nakamura via disqualification; Kevin Owens savagely attacked The New Day
Well that partnership is over. Deciding to turn on The New Day a mere week after being welcomed into their ranks, Kevin Owens launched a blistering attack on the group as he began plotting to get his hands on the WWE Championship. Kofi got a taste of Owens’ superkck, while Woods felt the brunt of a pop-up powerbomb on the apron.
It’s a new day alright, for a more vicious Kevin Owens.

Well, it was too much to believe KO would become a babyface. It wouldn’t have suited him anyway. Long live his heel roots! I’m actually finding the women’s division more entertaining nowadays than the male division. There are some real quality wrestlers among their ranks!
