Hey did ya hear? There’s a new Riddick film out! While I’m still waiting for it to hit our side of the globe, it’s giving me a few flashbacks to a pair of games that starred the most dangerous man in the universe. And it looks like Richard B Riddick himself is also returning for a third stab on the smaller screen.
Escape from Butcher Bay and Assault on Dark Athena are two prime examples of how to do a licensed property some justice, if you’ve ever played them. Those are games set in the cold, dark universe of Riddick that Diesel had a hand in, games that are pretty much cult classics.
Speaking to ScreenCrush, Diesel revealed that he was bringing the old gang back together for the next game:
We just over the past couple of months — just this year — we assembled that team from Starbreeze that brought Escape from Butcher Bay to create the third game.So there’s something to look forward to. The time is right.
That’s news that makes me pretty damn happy indeed. It’ll be a while before the game is out, so until then, I’m going to save up 20 menthol Kools so that I can get myself that surgical shine job on my eyes that I’ve been wanting.

This is really weird. Seems Steam is no longer advertising it. I’ve got it in my games list & I know it works because I played it lol.
http://steamdb.info/app/9860/ lists it, but if you try accessing the Steam store page it defaults to the home page :/

LOL, must say, my GPU is handling this like a dream, even the rest of the tech seems to be holding up nicely despite its age. Can run on ultra nogal

You know, I think the only thing holding me back at the time was my GPU. Because you know, you ask a salesman at Matrix to give you a decent display card in your new PC and he gives you something marginally better than the onboard graphics card.
I have since upgraded, and yesterday was quite impressed with the way Skyrim looked. Maybe I should give Geralt another go.

September 11, 2013 at 10:13
Well, how can that fail?
I mean the first two games premise and appeal was playing AS rid-dick, so now you get to customise your Riddick to look different and act different and speak different and. Oh.
Or imagine seeing 10 000 other players on a server ALL looking the same, and you getting chewed out by your friend, because you did not see him standing at the fountain.

I’d love a third game. Honestly, I enjoyed the previous 2 – they were really good. And who doesn’t like being the baddest man in the galaxy?! 🙂
