Australian prices are insane – but even this is pushing it

44 second read

We’ve posted  up before about the global discrepancy in videogame prices and how Australians are being ripped off more than anyone else on the planet.

But this has taken that to an entirely new level.

The PC version of Borderlands 2 has been put up for pre-order at the eye watering price of $9 999.00 at the local EB Games store.

Generally the pre-order price is a guess by the retailer and while I think Borderlands 2 is going to be incredible, I do think that R80 000 for a game is just slightly inflated.

What do you think, an innocent mistake or has Gearbox decided it hates the continent of Australia?

*It saddens me that I feel the need to clarify that I’m joking here, it’s obviously just a placeholder.
