Batman: Arkham City revealed – pics, details and a bad-ass looking Cat Woman

2 min read

That’s maybe the coolest Batman image that I have ever seen, seriously (and wait till you see the ones posted below). The boys over at Rocksteady Games have just revealed some details and pics regarding the sequel to one of 2009’s most marvelous gems of the year.

Titled Batman: Arkham City, the Dark Knight is lurking in the shadows once more as he makes his way into the heart of Gotham City and into a heavily fortified district that serves as the new home of Gotham’s most wicked.

The first game was great, this one looks like it’s only going to get better. Hit the jump for more good stuff.

The images (posted below) for Batman: Arkham City feel like they are doing all sorts of right things for me. The style is incredibly hardcore and the character designs make me think that Rocksteady are ready to push things one step further.

Arkham City is also going to feature a pretty spectacular cast, and so far we know that it is also going to include Cat Woman, Mr. Freeze and Two Face. What intrigues me – especially if you look at the images below – is that I can’t tell if Cat Woman is going to be a villain or an ally.

It is very possible that Rocksteady could be looking at either implementing her as a major ally in the storyline, or even go so far as to include co-operative play. Now, I’m not entirely sure how well co-op would work out in the games system, but if they got it right, and did include it, it could be insanely awesome.

Without much further ado, here are the images that were put up in Game Informer. Click the images to see them nice and large.
