Last week, rumours surfaced that Fallout 4 could be on the horizon, thanks to a new European site that very nearly suggested as much. And though they’ve almost been thoroughly debunked, there’s more information to get Wasteland wanderers saving their bottle caps.
Bethesda has now trademarked Fallout 4 in Europe (via Destructoid). Of course, they’ve owned the rights to the name for just about forever and keeping those trademarks is just sound business, but the timing is a little suspicious, given that The Survivor2299.com site, which may or may not be linked to Fallout.
If it is coming soon, the best place to keep a keen eye would be Spike’s recently renamed VGX’s, which is where Bethesda announced The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. They’ll be aired in the US on Saturday, December 7 – and that’s a likely time to find out if Fallout 4 is coming soon, though the “teaser” site is counting down to December 11.
The best thing about a new game from Bethesda is the fact that the internet will once again be awash with people who’ve bought the game and lost 250 magical hours to it, only to still find things to complain about.

Fallout 4 vs GTA 5! Where to find the time!?

First, find the time in registering an AWESOME Disqus name and join us in debating where your time should go. I, personally, feel Fallout 4 deserves all your love. All of it, dammit! ALL OF IT! It’ll have NUKA COLA! And EXPLOSIONS!

What a silly comment. Why does he/she need a Disqus name? Typical of how juvenile and “clicky” this site’s community has become.
SargonTheGreatPandaOfAkkad
November 18, 2013 at 22:49
Pity you didn’t read my comment before you called it silly. I merely suggested finding time to register and join us in an avid discussion. I didn’t say one was a prerequisite. I merely invited him/her to do so and engage on a regular basis.
That you think the community is juvenile and clicky (from one example that is neither of those things), then I feel sorry for you. Because I’m fairly new to this community and have never felt that way.
But whatever. Your loss.

well gat in rat sounds funny if you think of it as a gun pointed at a rat, but yeah, both references are applicable (and its *bum, not bumb)

fallout 3 stole my life.
New Vegas left me feeling sour.
tried playing it when it came out, and picked it up again recently, but nope, stopped playing at the exact same spot.
new vegas just felt tedious, nothing grabbed me.

Me and a mate were discussing it over the weekend, Skyrim is probably one of the best games ever and at the same time it also one of the most buggiest games ever. On xbox I can hover up cliffs with my horse, no hacks or anything…

So long as Fallout 4 is on something newer than fallout: New Vegas, bethesda can take my money any day.
was super disappointed with new vegas being exactly the same (just with native 1080p and proper aiming)

It all depends on who’s Developing this Installment. Fallout 3 was Bethesda Softworks, New Vegas was Obsidian. Now, even though Obsidian tried to re-capture the feeling of Fallout 1 & 2, The sad fact is that it was buggier than F3 by miles. And even though i preferred NV’s main storyline.
Fallout 3 was just a superior game.
Also, NV felt more like a console port than the other way around (which it should always be with RPG’s)
With all that said. Yes, I will play Fallout 4. And I will probably get fired for not going to work.

I really hope that they fix the character modelling this time; everyone looked like the same person, just with different clothes, hair and skin tone.
Bethesda’s strength is still with large and atmospheric worlds, but their character interaction is in dire need of engaging dialogue and consequences from your actions. If they could bring a Mass Effect-level of choices and “role playing” to the Fallout world, then they’ll have an amazing title. Not just “Fallout 3 with next-gen graphics”.
Andre116
November 18, 2013 at 13:32
Well, they should be commended for the lot of work they did with the beards on the character modeling.
