Yip, you read right. There’s a new Five Nights at Freddy’s game on the way, and it’s coming in February! Much to my relief though, because I know you bastards will make me play it, it isn’t another horror title. Nope, believe it or not, it’s a RPG.
This isn’t breaking news or anything really – Alessandro wrote about the announcement of the new game, Five Nights at Freddy’s World, back in September last year. What is new however, is that the upcoming title now has a release date. According to Scott Cawthon, the mastermind behind the entire franchise, Five Nights at Freddy’s World will be out quite soon (via PC Gamer).
First of all, I apologize for the lack of updates on the websites. My old faithful computer (which I used to make FNaF 1-4) finally died the other day. I had all of my work on FNaF World backed up, of course, but it’s still quite a delay to get a new machine and reconfigure software, etc. I hope to be back up and running soon!
FNaF World is coming along very well, despite these delays, and I plan on releasing it February 19th on Steam, and then for Android and iPhone in the following weeks! I will also release a demo on GameJolt!
Knowing Scott (based on his past antics), I can’t help but feel there’s some sort of trolling taking place. Can you imagine that all of the above, trailer included, is a complete ruse, and instead of a cute RPG, a brand new Five Nights at Freddy’s horror title launches on February 19th? NO GOD PLEASE NO!
Then again, maybe he is being deadly serious. I mean, in the very same post, Scott announced that he has just become a father.
In other news, I had a new addition to my family today- a baby boy! I’m typing this from the hospital now, as a matter of fact! So obviously, that has kept me a little busy as well! 🙂
Congratulations is certainly in order! I can’t help but feel sorry for that poor sweet summer child though. Can you imagine the kind of stuffed animals he is going to have? His life could very well turn out to be Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 in real life. NO GOD PLEASE NO NOT THE POOR CHILD!
Sorry, I’m a little wound up after my last Let’s Play, so leave me be! For all I know, Scott really is working on a new RPG. I’m quite interested to see how Five Nights at Freddy’s World turns out if that’s the case.
