With Li-Ming and Xul now out and about in the Heroes of the Storm Nexus, people have started wondering who Blizzard will bring to their MOBA next. We know for sure that Tracer is coming (she was teased at BlizzCon last year), but that’ll likely only be around the time Overwatch launches.
So who’s next then? All we have to go on at the moment, is this newly unveiled clue.
BREAKING NEWS: ‘missing’ minions found dead
Early reports suggest an ‘outlandish’ creature is responsible. Many question the legitimacy of the eyewitness reports.
Crikey, are those footprints? Let’s take a closer look…
It’s still kind of hard to make out. We need to zoom in even more…
Almost there! Just gotta adjust the angle, unpixelate a little and…
Woah! The next hero coming to Heroes of the Storm is none other than this freaking tyrannosaurus rex!
Wait a second, that’s the beast from Jurassic Park – which is not a Blizzard franchise. False alarm people, move along!
In all seriousness, speculation points to those paws belonging to Dehaka – a primal Zerg leader from StarCraft. The last few characters to have entered the Nexus mind you, have been from the Warcraft and Diablo franchises respectively. It would make sense for Blizzard to move onto their RTS for the next little while at least.
That, and the prints that Dehaka would leave strongly resembles what’s seen in the teaser image above. Just look at his feet…
Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s him, which is damn exciting. We’ll just have to wait for Blizzard to confirm, which I’m sure they’ll do sometime this week. Whoever it turns out to be, I don’t think we’ll have to wait too long to see them enter the Nexus. Blizzard are actually damn good at pumping characters into their MOBA regularly!
Who do you think the new hero is? Do you agree with all the speculation, or do you, like this chap, think it’s something else entirely?

It’s almost certainly Dehaka, but the ‘outlandish’ part of the post has lead some to believe that it is in fact Terokk, leader of the Arakoa in Outland that made those tracks
Terokk is a bit too civilised to go around mutilating minions though, so I’m leaning Dehaka

Gul’dan is in development (said at Blizzcon), and plays a pretty big role in WoW:Legion, so expect him to join the Nexus around September
