Man, I kinda feel bad for Microsoft. No Street Fighter V love on the Xbox One at all. But that doesn’t mean that the Xbox One doesn’t have a great fighting game exclusive to that console. Killer Insinct is essentially one of the purest games in that genre, something that I’ve spoken at length about before. It’s also a game with new fighters popping up every month, with the second season having already introduced three new brawlers. And get ready to say hello to an old favourite, as Riptor enters the fray.

According to Microsoft and Iron Galaxy, Riptor will feature a moveset similar to her original Killer Instinct appearances. Riptor’s “Upperclaw” moves however, have been replaced with the new “Clever girl” attacks, as well as some potential new tail attacks. Riptor will be available in the Killer Instinct 2.2 update, alongside her own stage, character information and story mode.

The latest update will also be rather hefty, clocking in at a 10 GB download as Killer Instinct is re-tweaked to be more balanced, have more content, a proper story mode and faster load times. There’ll also be some holiday-themed gear on offer for Ultra Edition owners of Killer Instinct. Orchid gets a new Candy-cane striped outfit and weapons, TJ Combo gets a magnificent Kris Kringle beard and Sabrewulf grows a pair of antlers.

There’ll be proper trailers and whatnot for Riptor later today. I’ll update the post as soon as I have them.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
