According to chart-tracking service and analysts, this year’s Battlefield isn’t doing especially well when it comes to pre-orders. According to some analysts, Battlefield V’s pre-orders are coming in 85% lower than those for Call of duty: Black Ops 4. EA won’t say as much, but being sandwiched between Call of Duty and Red Dead Redemption is at least partly responsible for the game’s one month delay. Battlefield V will be coming in November instead of October.

Thankfully, the wait is made more bearable by the fact that there’s an open beta for the game coming on all platforms, and you can pre-download it right now. Though the ZA store page for the game asks that you redeem a code or get EA access to access the beta, international versions let you just grab it – and you can do so here for Xbox One.  You can grab it here for PlayStation 4. If you’re a PC player, you can head over to Origin and click “Try it First.”

The open beta kicks off on September 6 and runs through to September 11, though pre-orders net access from today. If you’re playing on PC, you’ll need a PC this tall to ride:

I’ll wait for gameplay on Youtube. I couldn’t stand downloading several gigs for a few minutes of gaming!

I could do this, I really could.
Then again, I’d have to remove 80% of my brain. Only then would I be dumb enough.
