The Witcher 3 certainly feels like it’s still coming out in February. Just the other day CD Projekt RED revealed the game’s PC specs, and now we have a brand new trailer. It feels like the game should be out soon, but sadly we’ll have to wait until May to get our hands on it; which is plenty time to catch up on some lore, which this new trailer really helps with.
Who are the Witchers? Why is the world overcome with things that go bump in the night? Why can demonic beings ride horses on clouds? This latest story catch up trailers doesn’t really explain the events of the past two Witcher games, but it does introduce some of the more intricate lore in an easy to understand fashion. Take a look.
So now you know that Geralt is a monster hunter, and that not many people actually feel comfortable around his kind. We also know that there’s this force called The Wild Hunt who love to snatch children in the night, and they’re after Geralt now too. There is a ton more to the story than this obviously, which is beautifully fleshed out over the previous two games. And since there’s still a long time for any stragglers to still catch up, I won’t be spoiling anything here.
Still, I’m distraught that The Witcher III is still a few months away. It certainly feels like everything was ready for next month, but I hold nothing against CD Projekt RED for delaying the title to brush all the little bugs they can find under the rug.
Hopefully then, come May, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt will enjoy a seamless, unbroken launch. Just for a change.

Hahaha, na to be honest even though I am borderline obsessed with the series. Books, games and the comic’s I can easily why it would not be some peoples cup of tea.
Especially the games the progression in them is really slow and time consuming, all the characters (except maybe Dandelion =p) are pretty gritty and it can get a-bit fantasy days of our lives some times =p
Mandom (Umar)
January 15, 2015 at 08:29
Naa, I don’t have a problem with that actually. I think the world and characters are incredibly interesting. It’s more of a personal dislike though, not a fan of this type of fantasy which most WRPG fall under. Always feel like I’ve been in this world one too many times., this Tolkien-esque place. I lose interest quickly, probably why I didn’t like DA:I too much. I like outlandish things 😛 ….

And if you already own Left 4 Dead or BioShock Infinite in your Steam library you can participate – just check your Steam Games Library come January 16th.
After that, queue up the download and Evolve will be in your Game Library, ready for battle on January 16th.
As part of this closed technical test, we want to continue to stress test the servers and need your help to do it – so at 2pm PST on Saturday January 17th, we need as many people as possible to be online and playing Evolve.

Get and play the previous games on Xbox Live, Steam or whatever AND play them. Worth it. Do not get your background story from another source. Really. If you do this, you will have empathy and feelings for the characters at the start of the game. Character like Triss and Geralt you will have warm feeling for, some of the friends you may hate or love, but the feelings will be there.
Kind of like Dragon Age Inquisition. I feel I am getting more out than a newcomer, because of history with some the characters.
