PSP Go

Codemasters VP, Gavin Cheshire, has been speaking about the PSP in a recent interview and he hasn’t held back at all.

To say he doesn’t like the PSP would be an incredible understatement.

“Well, speaking as a person who bought a PSP, the problem was that I always thought – because it was a better screen than iPod’s – that I’d be doing more with it. But it was such a bollocking useless waste of space; just getting stuff on it was ridiculous”

Remember Codemasters have released software on the PSP before and when asked about that he seemed to struggle to answer it nicely and in the end just went with a direct answer.

“Relatively speaking, [Codemasters] didn’t do too badly on F1 PSP. But regarding the future, I think they’ve got – well… no.”

But that’s not all, when asked about the PSPGo he wasn’t as harsh but it doesn’t look positive for the future.

“PSPgo’s a lovely device,”

“[It’s]really smart – but our senior VP bought one the day it came out and has a great story, because he ended up on some customer support line just trying to do basic stuff. He had to re-download his software, do an immediate firmware update, and that’s your user experience”

So let’s not hold out any hopes that Codemasters will be developing anything for the PSP going forward.

i dunno dude we get a decent amount of cap. and we know how scarse some of the PSP games are to get. My GF keeps on nagging me to download The Sims 2 for the PSP.

      So ill do it> Eventually…..

Still a brilliant device for its time!
